After a beautiful clear morning, the skies clouded over, and snow started falling, with some accumulation at higher elevations.  Temps were just above freezing in Banner Elk, so nothing stuck to the ground.  It was gone as soon as it fell, but the skies were pretty thick with snow for a little while this afternoon.

Luckily, warmer weather is forecast for tomorrow and spring should be back in a couple of days.  Most believe this was the last kick that Ol’ Man Winter could muster this year and the snow should be gone until fall.

Come on up to the High Country for your vacation this spring or summer.
